Here is one of the black ones. There will be 6 in this series (currently in progress) to symbolize my 5 siblings and myself, placed together on a floor. Relating to comforting each other and taking care of one another after the death of our mother.

Pillow Series
This series is in progress and will be titled, "I am 13 going on 14", to signify that I have lived 13 years without my Mother.
I am recreating the pillow that I cried on the day that she died. The pink pillow is one of the few things that I remember about that day. It was the only thing that provided comfort for me.
There is embroidered text from a letter that my Mother wrote to me. It reads, "Dear Elizabeth, I hope we get lots of snow tonight so we can play in it. Love, Mom"

Dress
A smaller installation of a larger piece I would like to do someday... I remembered what the dress looked like that I wore to my Mother's funeral. It had flowers on it that looked like this.
